Dunlavin is a village in the west of County Wicklow, Ireland. The area has a rich and varied history, and this blog records some of the history of the Dunlavin area. The articles are in no particular order, and each one stands alone - but, taken together, they shed some light on the various Dunlavin communities of the past. I hope you enjoy reading them. I am indebted to the Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences for supporting my work.
The blog provides some information on the history of Dunlavin within the context of the wider west Wicklow area. The odd book review might appear as well - reviews are of books directly linked to the west Wicklow region.
